BlackBerry has completely revamped itself by churning out the new BlackBerry 10 OS as well as unleashing flagship devices like BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10. When BlackBerry launched the full touch Z10 phone, BlackBerry fans were slightly worried whether the company would stop manufacturing QWERTY kind of phones. Well, the new BlackBerry Q10 is a QWERTY handset.
Though many people are not talking about the BlackBerry Q10, the company has claimed that sales report of Q10 is quite impressive. The market is being ruled by large-sized smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S4, Sony Xperia Z, HTC One and others which are all full touch phones. Since full touch phones are totally in demand, a QWERTY smartphone may not be able to make a difference in the market.
A recent report from Canada and UK where the BlackBerry Q10 is already available in the market has shown that the device has been a very successful venture for BlackBerry. Phones like Galaxy S4 and HTC One are ruling the market here also but still the Q10 is not lacking behind. Some tech enthusiasts will be surprised to know that in Canada, some stores have reported that Q10 has been sold out whereas others stores have only limited stock.
The BlackBerry Q10 is rumored to be available in US on 6th June through Verizon Wireless. The news surfaced after the device was found listed in Verizon’s inventory which usually appears two weeks before the product is brought to the store. The Q10 is available in two colors, white and black. Verizon has already started taking pre-orders for the phone. Other carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile are soon going to start receiving pre-orders. Verizon and AT&T have mentioned the price of Q10 but T-Mobile has mentioned that Q10 can be yours for $99.99 down followed by monthly installments of $20.
The BlackBerry Q10 is a very promising phone. It comes with touchscreen display that measures 3.1inches and supports 720 x 720 pixels resolution with 330ppi. The device is powered with 1.5GHz dual-core CPU and 2GB RAM. It has got 8MP camera which supports 1080p video recording. At the front, there is 2MP camera. The internal memory of the phone is 16GB and the device supports 4G LTE connectivity. Lastly, the device is runs on the latest BB10 OS.
The BlackBerry Q10 US release date is drawing near. Tech analysts are skeptical about the device’s performance in US which is completely taken over full-touch feature-rich phones. How is it going to fare in US markets? We will have to wait for at least a month or two after the release to check out its sales performance after June 6th release.
