Based on the information that the company disclosed on Friday afternoon, Amazon’s Kindle gets new book preview update, which allows users to share their preferences through the messaging service. The new upgrade has been developed with the help of several social networks including Facebook and WhatsApp.
Amazon is still keen on getting clients’ attention to their Kindle e-reading devices. The company announced on Friday that they have prepared a new sharing option for their Kindle Android app. This upgrade gives customers the possibility to quickly share content from their beloved books with friends on Facebook and WhatsApp.
Sharing e-book content was also possible in the past, but for that, customers would have to undergo a much lengthier and cumbersome process in order for the quote to reach the people they were interested in. Now, all they have to do is simply tap the ‘share’ button on top of their Kindle devices and the paragraph is ready for delivery.
There are several options that customer may choose from when it comes to sharing book content. Amazon provided the Android app with the text, email or messaging options so users can choose the ones that are more appropriate for their intentions.
There are many other benefits that Kindle customers could get with the recent upgrade. Amazon has declared that the new feature enables users to select the specific audience they want the book snippet to be shared with. As a consequence, they can use the Facebook and WhatsApp contact list to select the precise individuals they want to recommend the book to.
The e-commerce platform has finally understood that the sharing options of the Android app have to meet the users’ needs. The latter have complained repeatedly that they cannot share book quotations on their Facebook pages because the service prevents them from personalizing their audience group.
Now that the problem has been solved, Amazon believes the new sharing tool will bring online users together based on their book preferences. The upgrade is all the more useful since the members of the audience group can receive book content without necessarily owning a Kindle e-reader.
The new update has only been made available for the Kindle Android app, but the online company plans to expand the service to other Kindle e-readers by the end of the year. More information is awaited in the following months.
