Android 4.3 update was released by Google in July. It brought in some new features but it wasn’t a major update as some thought of. Already some users have reported issues with the new Android 4.3 update. Especially users who own Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 have cited issues with Android 4.3.
On both the above mentioned devices, there is an issue with automatically reestablishing Wi-Fi connection. Users have experienced freezing on the boot screen. Bluetooth keyboards compatibility issue and poor battery life are some of the issues that are being encountered Nexus device owners.
Also, there have been reports about the new OS update that it freezes whenever the Netflix app is launched. The only way users can overcome this issue is by performing hard reset. Both Google and Netflix are aware of the issue and the fix for this problem has already been made available by Netflix. Even though this issue has been addressed, there are many small issues that are still unresolved.
The Android 4.3 update issues are growing day by day and all the problems that are being faced by the users can be seen on XDA developer’s forum. The issue about automatically reconnecting to Wi-Fi on Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 is still going on. What happens it those connections that get disconnected when they are out of range do not connect again automatically when the device is in range again.
For some the Wi-Fi connectivity issue may seem small as it can be fixed by simply turning off Wi-Fi and putting it on again and then manually connect to the desired Wi-Fi network. However, for others it’s still a major issue.
Another issue is that users have experienced random freezing while using the phone. Some have experienced freezing on the ‘X’ splash screen. Some others have reported that their device turn off and turns on automatically.
Some other users have experienced incompatibility issues on Nexus devices while connecting to Bluetooth powered keyboards. Some users are not able to use the auto-rotate mode while viewing photos in gallery. Others have experienced sluggish performance and there are some others that have not been able to download apps from Google Play Store.
