The price drop of the iPhone 5 has also been triggered by the likes of the Galaxy S4 and the HTC One which is forcing retailers like the Wal-Mart and Best Buy, to cut down price of the iPhone 5. These last two retailers however have contract agreement that their sets come with.
Wal-Mart have lowered the price of the iPhone 5 with 16 GB in their stock by $60 to read $130, with the agreement clause attached. They have also cut down price of the iPhone 4S with 16 GB to $40 with the service agreement.
