STATES CHRONICLE – Recent news reported Barbie gets a high-tech Dreamhouse. Recently, Manhattan hosted the Toy Fair 2016. World’s biggest toy makers showed their newest products both to the press and the buyers. Most of the toys were technologically improved so as to attract potential customers.
The most interesting product was Barbie’s dream house. Mattel, the multinational toy manufacturing company, announced that Barbie comes with a brand new home. It appears the company created a tech-enabled Dreamhouse for its famous doll. Now, Barbie’s fans can control various elements in the house such as the elevator, the music or the lights. Moreover, the Dreamhouse is connected to the Internet and it’s equipped with voice recognition technology.
The house was created so as to respond to kids’ voice commands. The house’s ability to take actions based on voice commands provides it a functionality which is similar to the Apple Siri or Amazon Alexa digital personal assistants. In order to initiate the interaction, children start their command by saying ‘Hello Dreamhouse’.
This means the house is always active, listening to any sound. In addition, Barbie’s high-tech Dreamhouse features three pre-set options children can choose from: hangout mode, dance party mode and fun house mode. Each of these modes enables a different kind of music and lighting settings. What’s more, with the Hello Dreamhouse mobile application, kids are allowed to unlock a fourth mode.
The fourth mode enables customization options. In addition, every room in the house was improved with embedded floor switches. This means whenever Barbie enters any room, it comes to life. For instance, lamps turn on or the fireplace starts roaring. If ‘dance party mode’ is enabled, the chandelier start spinning.
Children in the whole world were excited to find their most beloved Barbie gets a high-tech Dreamhouse. The multinational company said the house is scheduled to get in the markets this fall. Its price will be approximately $300.
