Shana Elliot admitted before the judge and jury that she’s guilty of having killed Kristian Nicole Guerrero and Fabian Guerrero-Moreno.
According to the woman’s arrest warrant, on the 2nd of August, Elliot went to a party where she spent most of the evening consuming beer and liquor. Despite being in advance stage of intoxication, Elliot boarded her Chevrolet Impala and drove home.
While on Highway 21, the woman, who was wearing only a bikini, lost control of the car, crossed over the center line and rammed a Toyota Corolla coming from the opposite direction. The car involved in the accident belonged to 23-year-old Fabian Guerrero-Moreno, a soon-to-be-father. His wife, 23-year-old Kristian Nicole Guerrero, was also in the car when the accident occurred.
The court records indicate that the woman was five months pregnant when Elliot rammed Guerrero-Moreno’s car. Following the accident, the first responders declared the woman’s husband died at the scene and rushed her to the nearby emergency room for surgery.
Unfortunately, the woman’s infant did not survive the accident, despite the doctors inducing labor in an attempt to save him.
Elliot’s blood alcohol level was 0.199 when she hit Guerrero-Moreno’s car. The woman was taken into custody and charged with DUI and intoxicated manslaughter. Fortunately, the doctors were able to stabilize Nicole Guerrero despite her injuries.
Reportedly, after the accident, Elliot kept asking the police officers to tell her what happened to the couple, saying that she would kill herself if she found out they were dead.
