Book Your Trip To the New Planets !

Book Your Trip To the New Planets !NASA recently revealed the latest discoveries of the Kepler telescope: more than 1000 new planets found. So, in the not so distant future, you may get ready to book your trip to the new planets. Three of the planets have a pretty good chance of being habitable, because of the “Goldilocks zone” they are located in. In other words, they are just right for human life, because of the temperature and energy taken from their sun, their similar dimensions to Earth (only 12% or 34 bigger than Earth, for planets Kepler-186f and Kepler-16b), the rocky sights and the lack of gas.

As a result, for a better awareness of these discoveries, NASA revealed a series o three posters of the exoplanets found by the telescope Kepler, in order to make it feel more familiar for everybody to acknowledge what happens in the Universe and to make them curious about that there is still yet to come.

The author is “The Exoplanet Travel Bureau”, who offered Kepler-186f, Kepler-16b and HD 40307g a traditional value and beautiful interpretations of their astronomical descriptions. The style that was used is vintage, 20s, 30s, 40s kind of posters for movies, colorful and fantastic, almost mystic.

The first poster offers a red boost of color. Because the planet Kepler-186f orbits a red dwarf called Kepler-186 (M1 type, found in the constellation Cygnus) the color chosen makes the possible light seem realistic, because it is considerably redder (but also cooler) than the sun. The slogan brings it a touch of humor: “Where the grass is always redder on the other side.” Maybe at 500 light years away, some of our fears will be gone differently.

Being double as a volume and eight times bigger as a mass than Earth, planet HD 40307g is shown in the poster as a “super Earth”, and a man is courageously diving into it from the sky, through yellow, warm light. This is the planet with the biggest chance to develop or to already have liquid water, so the excitement of human kind has been shown right.

“Where your shadow always has company.” is the slogan of the third poster, the one for planet Kepler-16b, shown in it as having two suns. It has been compared with Star Wars and Tattooine, the planet with two stars. This planet hasn’t got so many chances to be habitable, but yet this is a possible theory.

The posters can be found online and are available for download free via JPL’s website.
