Gray death is the latest popular drug mix which makes a lot of victims
STATES CHRONICLE – The U.S. health officials are alarmed, as a new opioid epidemic might be on the rise. They have discovered a dangerous combination nicknamed gray death which has already caused a series of fatal overdoses, and might be the trigger of a serious health crisis.
Gray death is a deadly mix of opioids
The officials have already discovered how gray death was to blame for overdoses which took place in Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio. The mix resembles concrete, as it comes in a strong solid form and then turns into a powder. It is a synthetic substance called U-47700, but people started calling it gray death due to its consistency and fatal capabilities.
In fact, gray death is a mix of several strong opioids which often lead to fatal overdoses all over the countries. These substances include heroin, carfentanil, or fentanyl. It is extremely dangerous, as it is commercialized as a tranquilizer for elephants of other large animals.
The substance was added on the list of the most dangerous drugs
Last year, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration included gray death on the list of the most dangerous drugs on the market. This happened after the drug was linked to many deaths in the country, with most victims coming from North Carolina and New York. The officials also say that this drug is much stronger than heroin. Users usually inject, swallow, or snort it, but it is dangerous even if they just touch it, as strong drugs are usually absorbed easily through skin.
Therefore, they decided to issue a warning against the substance, and make people aware of how dangerous it is. They usually do not know what it contains, so they are not aware that it might be deadly. The sudden popularity of gray death might display the beginning of an epidemic, so this is why the authorities got alarmed and decided to stop it before it’s too late.
