As stated in a press comment, CVS Health intends to deploy a considerable impact, given the fact that their services are normally reaching a number of up to 100 million clients every year. So the company hopes that the innovations provided by the new lab will greatly improve their clients’ level of health care.
The aim of the digital lab opened on Tuesday is to offer customized digital services that help and encourage improved health experiences. This is also one of the reasons why the CVS decided to double the digital investment, predicting the future tendency of clients towards digitally approaching all aspects of life, including health. It is a proper way of welcoming clients’ needs and future expectancies.
Tilzer declares that the Innovation Lab represents only the first step in this direction. In addition, CVS Health is planning to embrace upon the digital innovation quest for health more companies, including also startups.
The opening of the Digital Innovation Lab also means a plus of new employees in Boston, including 100 persons, out of which 15 were transferred from Rhode Island.
The municipality of Boston showed support in the opening of the innovation lab. Marty Walsh, who is the Mayor of Boston, considers that CVS Health made an excellent choice when establishing Boston as the location of their Digital Innovation Lab.
