The Nokia 625 which was rolled out recently with 4.7inch display is the largest smartphone ever made by Nokia. After releasing couple of mid-range products in 2012 and this year, now Nokia is rumored to be working on a large phone with a huge display to take on the Galaxy Note 3.

A leaked photo of the mysterious under construction phone is doing rounds on Sina Weibo which is a Chinese social networking site. The image shows you a hand of an employee which holding a large sized bezel by using a suction cup. Since it has a Windows key at the bottom of the glass frame, we can guess that it is running on Windows Phone OS. However, the logo is used by Windows Phone OS as well as Windows 8 OS. So, we are not sure about the OS of the mysterious device.

The mysterious device from Nokia seems to be very promising and if it happens to release soon, both Microsoft and Nokia will be able to compete with phablet devices from other companies. Samsung which is now working on Galaxy Note 3 is going to sport a 5.7inch display. The large display from the leaked photo makes us think it might be a competitor device to Galaxy Note 3. However, from the image we are unable to guess the size of the display.

Before Lumia 625 was made public, it was rumored that the device would be phablet device to take on other phablets in the market. Since it houses a 512MB RAM, it is nothing but a mid-range phone with a large display. Until the Lumia 625 was released, it was highly speculated that Nokia was working on a phablet or a full-sized device but after its release, the rumor had cooled down. However, tech enthusiasts are expecting that Nokia should roll out a phablet device.

Currently, the Windows Phone 8 GDR3 is pending. It is the next update to the Windows Phone 8 OS. We feel that even if Nokia is going to release a powerful smartphone or tablet, it will only happen after the new update is released. The recently released Lumia phones from Nokia are running on Windows Phone 8 GDR2. All the Lumia phones running on this update does not support HD display. So, if the GDR3 update becomes available, we will also Lumia phones with full HD quality display.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 which is one of the most anticipated devices at the moment is going to be unveiled in the month of September. The IFA tech event will be held in this month. It is during this event or sometime around it that the Galaxy Note 3 will be released. It is going to sport a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera. It will be powered with quad-core CPU. The phone is expected to first come on AT&T network and then soon it will be available on other networks as well.

The mysterious device is still under the wraps. However, we hope that we get to know more about this mysterious device from Nokia. Nokia is looking forward get back into competition. In the recent past, it released numerous mid-range phones and now it is slowly inching towards outing a better and advanced smartphones. We will keep you posted as and when we come to know anything about this mysterious product.
