GTA 5 Release Date – Grand Theft Auto Going to Arrive for PC, Xbox One and PS4?

The latest version of Grand Theft Auto – GTA 5 release date is going to be on 17th September. The game will be first only made available for PS3 and Xbox 360 gaming consoles. The PS3 and Xbox 360 are obsolete gaming consoles (though they are very popular) as they are going to be replaced by successor models like PS4 and Xbox One. So, when is the GTA 5 going to arrive for Xbox One, PS4, Wii U and PC?

Rockstar Games, the developer of GTA 5, has not announced anything on the release of the game for other platforms. Gamers who are overwhelmed by the specs of Xbox One and PS4 are eagerly waiting to purchase the new gaming consoles which are expected to go on sale during the holiday season this year. Such gamers are waiting for the GTA 5 to be available for these consoles too.

According to ESRB the GTA 5 has lots of adult content such as sexual content, blood, violence, adult humor, nudity and so on. Still, the GTA 5 is still one of the most liked games of the recent times. Most of the existing games are not compatible with Xbox One and PS4 and so is the new GTA 5. Hence, many game developers have developed exclusively to support the next gen gaming consoles.

After the next gen gaming consoles will be announced in November, many new games will be launched. Recently during an interview with the Rockstar North president Lesie Benzies, he acknowledged the arrival of Grand Theft Auto Online and multiplayer edition of GTA on October 1. He also hinted the game would be available on newer gaming consoles but he did not make any commitment.

During the interview, Benzies was asked what has he planned for GTA 5 as new gaming consoles are going to replace the older gaming consoles. He answered that they have made plans in advance to meet the requirements of the next world. It indicates that currently they want to focus on the existing gaming consoles to know what gamers want before they commit anything major about supporting next gen consoles.

Sony had recently revealed an advertisement for the PlayStation 4 with words ‘Greatness Awaits.’ When you view the video, it shows you live action teaser of GTA 5. It also shows the banner of GTA which is nothing but a GTA 5 logo that we had all seen in April on a leaked video. There has not been any official announcement but we can speculate on the basis of this coincidence that may be Sony and Rockstar are working on something.

As of now, Rockstar has refrained from revealing anything on editions for PC and Wii U. Even though Rockstar is not revealing much, the future for the large scale Grand Theft Auto Online seems good. As and when we come to know anything new about GTA 5 release date for next gen gaming consoles and other platforms, we will keep you posted. Until GTA 5 game enthusiasts can only enjoy on Xbox 360 and PS3.
