There were 10 cases of this disease reported in Virginia and all of them were linked to those smoothies. If you have received the vaccine for hepatitis A or you have had this diseases before, you have nothing to worry because the virus can’t affect you. There are still many people who could be in danger because of it, so if you drank the tropical smoothie from that cafe, you should go to a doctor. It is the best way to be sure you are not going to have any health problem.
The strawberries came from Egypt and is not the first time this happens with those suppliers. The Tropical Smoothie Cafe found a new place to buy strawberries from. However, there can be other restaurants who bought from Egypt. Those of you who bought this kind of smoothie in the past month, be aware of he symptoms hepatitis A has.
