The HTC One, since its launch in March is trading on Android Jelly Bean v4.1.2. The device hit the shelves with Android 4.1 and HTC’s Sense 5. Reportedly, HTC is planning to roll out an enhanced Sense 5 UI skin alongside Android 4.2.2 to its HTC One. Android 4.2.2 update for HTC One will probably be rolled out within the next few weeks. Last week, HTC One was a subject to a firmware upgrade of 230MB. With this package, the firmware version was altered to 1.29.401.12.
However, with Android 4.2.2, the firmware version will be changed to 2.x from 1.29. The new OS update will render lock screen widgets, enhanced keypad, stock gesture and quick settings option to the HTC One. Reportedly, the new Android version will also let users incorporate new data sources in BlinkFeed, alongside Flickr, LinkedIn, Facebook, calendar, Twitter, TV, HTC Share, Children Mode, etc. Quick settings menu will be positioned in the notification area with the Android 4.2 update. This quick settings button will let you quickly turn off/on Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth, 4G, organize contrast, brightness, etc.
The Butterfly Sense update on HTC One will expose the device to the Taiwan-tech’s proprietary BlinkFeed and Zoe, leading to enhanced camera specifications on the smartphone and an immersive social feed.
HTC seems be concentrating well enough on its HTC One. The device originally runs on Quad Core Krait 300 1.7 GHz and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset. The device is available in attractive shades of red, black and silver.
