The mini version of the HTC One going by the codename M4 is already on its way to a launch in the US, with initial reports claiming T-Mobile being the preferred carrier. The above piece of information is based on a tweet by an HTC insider going by the Twitter handle ‘LlabTooFer’ which should put to rest any doubt concerning the device making it to the US shores soon. However, what is not known at this point of time is exactly when the HTC One Mini will be arriving at T-Mobile.
What is almost a surety though is that the One Mini might not be seen sporting the Verizon colors. At least that is how things seem to be shaping up right now though who knows, there might be a change of heart somewhere in between. Also, what seems to be likelihood is that those eager to have the One Mini might have to flock to T-Mobile to have the device, at least during the initial states. How good the idea is to achieve maximum market penetration is always debatable, more so when HTC itself is going through a precarious state and the company has a lot a stake on the success of its One series of smartphone.
Like its big brother HTC One, the One Mini will have as it prime competitor the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. The One Mini is characterized by a smaller display and slightly less features than the One. However, the smaller versions does make a lot of sense for those who do not require that big a display as the full blown HTC One has to offer or all of its extensive list of features. Instead, the One Mini should suffice those on the lookout for a more handy device that allows for more than the basic phone features but at a more decent price.
