LG surprised everyone by launching a new smartphone having a 3.8 inch display at a time when none was expecting it. Dubbed as the Optimus L4II Dual, the handset is based on a 1 GHz processor and a RAM of 512 MB. It is also supported by an inbuilt memory of 4 GB as well as 1700 mAh battery too. The smartphone is currently listed at the LG site carrying a price tag of Rs 9850.
Also as the name itself suggests, the Optimus L4II Dual is a dual SIM device with two SIM card slots which also supports 3G. It runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The 3.8 IPS display though has a rather low resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. This device comes with a 3 mega pixel fixed focus camera at the back along with VGA quality of video capability. Providing the juice is a 1700 mAh battery which the company claims is good enough to support 10 hours of talk time.
Among the other more likeable qualities of the Optimus L4II Dual include the option of SIM switch technique by using the hot key which allows the user to change between both the SIMs. Another remarkable feature of this LG handset is the option to divert incoming calls from one SIM to another. However, the LG device is still bound to have quite a tough time since other Indian manufacturers are offering quad core devices of 4.5 inch or even 5 inch smartphones in the same price range with comparable or even better quality.
Even with such tough competitors behind them, LG Optimus L44II Dual still has a fair chance among some other devices such as HTC Desire C, Sony Xperia E, and the currently released Samsung Galaxy Fame as well, all of which come under the same price range.
