Measles have begun spreading in Orange County, California, near Disneyland, that has sent all its employees to the doctor as soon as they got informed about the viral disease. But the fact that people refused to vaccinate their children on time, Measles have spread in 14 states and the number is growing. In the last couple of days, new cases have appeared in Nebraska and Minnesota, New York and Marin County in California.
The dangerous disease has been declared vanished about 15 years ago, and from this day forward, mothers began not to take their children to the pediatrician for the anti-Measles vaccine. The reason beneath this deliberation is that they didn’t want their children to be injected with so many toxins. Measles is not the only viral disease that parents don’t want to vaccinate their kids for, trying to keep their bodies as natural as they can in an era in which everything is almost everything is artificial anyway.
Crystal McDonald is a mother of a 16-year old student that was sent home from school because she didn’t have measles immunizations.
“I said, ‘No, absolutely not,’ I said, ‘I’d rather you miss an entire semester than you get the shot.’ There is absolutely no reason to get the shot” .
On the other hand, doctors are very frustrated, because they feel as if they are living in the 1950s, as Dr. Eric Ball, a pediatrician in southern Orange County has stated. Schools that are located in this area have it written of their reports: 50 to 60 percent of their first graders are not vaccinated, of which 20 to 40 percent have parents who don’t believe that the vaccination is not a good option for their children. Doctors believe that this kind of mentality makes a lot of damage in their children’s health, taking into consideration that Measles is entirely preventable, if vaccinated on time. Even if Dr. Eric Ball has tried all the possible measures in order to inform all parents about the risks they are taking, he had no result whatsoever. On the other hand, those families who are for the vaccine, do not want to stay in the same room or waiting room with the children or the families that are not vaccinated and thus, a chaos is created.
“Our patients are really scared. Our worst nightmare would be for someone to show up at our door with the measles.”
