After getting acquired by Google, Motorola is all set to announce the arrival of its new flagship smartphone. The much anticipated device is dubbed as the Moto X. The cool thing about the Moto X is that it is an all-American, fully personalized device that will make it stand out from the crowd.

The smartphone world is ruled by Galaxy line of devices from Samsung and the iPhone variants from Apple. The only thing Motorola could do in to divert attention towards itself is by offering something different to the audience. Yes, Motorola manages to do so by offering customization as the X factor.

Most of the things on the Motorola Moto X can be fully personalized. The exterior panel, rear panel, memory, wallpaper, engraving and many things can be customized according to your preference. Motorola is offering you more than 2000 designs and color options. The phone is available in two storage variants namely 16GB and 32GB.

Unlike iPhone which is manufactured in China and Samsung phones which are made in Korea and China, the Moto X is completely manufactured in the US. Since the phones are assembled in US, the company assures that it will take only four days to get your fully customized phone to your home.

Customers who are interested in buying the Moto X can make use of the online design studio to order a fully customized Moto X according to their choice. On the official website of Motorola Mobility, the company has mentioned “Yep. We’ve got wood. And 2K+ other combos. Designed by you. Assembled in the USA.”

It also comes with some unique features such as Touchless Control which allows you to view certain information such as weather, time, and directions through voice and you do not need to touch the screen for it. The Active Display feature lets necessary info stay on the screen without disturbing you with alerts. Quick Capture feature enables you to access the camera of the phone simply by holding it your hand and twisting your hand twice.

Google and Motorola are rumored to heavily focus on marketing the Moto X. It is speculated that as much as $500 million is being spent on advertising Moto X. Last year, Apple had spent $333 million and Samsung had spent $401 million in advertising their smartphones in 2012 in US. This easily indicates that Motorola is looking forward to take the tech giants and even dethrone them.

As far as tech specs are concerned, the Moto X seems to be a very competitive device. The Moto X comes with 4.7inch RGB AMOLED display. It has maximum resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The phone is powered by Motorola X8 CPU which is capable of delivering 1.7GHz clocking speed. It has also got 2GB RAM.

The rear camera is of 10MP whereas the front camera is of 2MP. The rear camera is capable of recording 1080p HD videos.  The camera onboard is the same camera that is available on recently launchedx Droid line of smartphones. Connectivity features on Moto X includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0, NFC, Miracast, USB 2.0 and a powerful 2200mAh battery.

Since the phone is powered by Google, users can enjoy 50GB of free cloud storage space on Googl Drive. The Moto X will first come on AT&T’s network on a two-year agreement. If you purchase the 16GB version, you will be paying $199.99 and if you are going purchase the 32GB version, you will have to spend $249.99.

Very soon other network providers such as US Cellular, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon will also offer the Moto X. As of now, AT&T has not given out any details about the availibilty of the Moto X phones to customers. However, rumors have it that the Moto X will be up for sale in this month or in September. If you are interested in availing the phone, you can place a pre-order on AT&T’s website.
