A recent scientific news report shockingly showed that NASA has found a unique pink planet which is now challenging current theoretical studies. This large pink planet is said to be about 57 light years away from earth and is deep magenta in color. Some amazing news reports also stated that this is the second planet ever whose color has been directly observed by the astronomers. However the first planet in this context was the HD 189733b whose color was also directly observed by astronomers. This is an incredible feat for the astronomers at NASA as this discovery is now challenging to prove the theory of planetary formation wrong.
A research report reveals that this planet is named GJ 504b and is officially the size of Jupiter and is said to have more mass compared to it. Another detailed study shows that this finally could be the smallest planet ever to be monitored through a telescope rather than viewing it by eclipsing its parent star. This amazing planet is creating a whole lot of excitement among the astronomers as it is about 4.5 billion miles away from its star which is the same as 43.5 times the distance between the sun and the earth.
Astronomers have also compared it to our solar system and have come up with the end result stating that it would have been beyond the orbit of Neptune if it were present in our solar system. This is causing real time problems for further study and it is said that such Jupiter sized planets are formed through the core accretion theory. However experts are considering it to be one of the toughest planets to explain ever and this brings out the need for us to consider various alternation formation theories and to think out of the box. Thanks to these valuable astronomers who develop a sense of interest through these delighting discoveries.
