A new iPhone is yet to be released and this comes at a very opportune time. The iPhone has lost some of its dominance in the smartphone category due to tough competition from devices that use the Android operating system. Samsung has eaten a lot into the iPhone market, and there is a lot of anxiety to see if the company will be able to address the issue of the Android phones.

Apple has tried to woo Samsung customers by offering their older models at very low prices. There are rumors that the Apple intends to offer a lower-priced iPhone so as to combat the competition in the mid-level phone market. By introducing a budget model, Apple intends to recapture the market that it had lost to Samsung and other Android phones.

Apple iOS 7 iphone

The new iPhone set to be launched in a short while will have advanced security features. The iPhone will be able to keep a scan of the owner’s fingerprint and will only be used when it has read the print. It means that users will have to use biometric fingerprint information in order to unlock their iPhones. The button in the front of the phone will have a concave shape allowing the user to fit the finger perfectly so the phone can read it. Secondly the concave shape means that the button will suffer less from scratches and that the iPhone does not get engaged when a user puts it in his or her pocket.

The new iPhone will also run on iOS 7 which it will unveil. The new operating system was announced by Apple at a developer forum in June. The company said that the new operating system has undergone several changes to make it more palatable by users. These changes seem to be incremental changes which the company says will make the phones much better.

iPhone application developers were given the news and told how best to create applications for the new iPhone. Apart from the iPhone, the new operating system will also be placed in iPads, and iPod touch devices.

Apple is also set to announce a new Mac OS X. The new creation has been aptly dubbed Maverick. The name will serve to get people interested in the new launch, although rumors say that it will not be launched on Sept 10th. Apple has been encouraged by customers and investors that they should release more inventions so that they can compete in a fast growing technology field.

Apparently the company has been trying to create a watch and also a television in order to get more out of the customer’s electronics market. If any of the recent releases are anything to go by, then apple really has to come up with a gadget that will wow the world. Already items like Google Glass are getting rave reviews in brining the computer closer to the user, and also doing it in a minimalist way. The watch that Apple wants to create will be a good place to start.
