The next gen Nokia EOS has been attracting a lot of attention these days, now that the Galaxy S4 Zoom has become official. This means it’s a whole new front that smartphone makers have opened up, which involves smartphones that have been tweaked for superior photographic abilities. The first gen Nokia EOS has been a one of its kind device but now has competition from the S4 Zoom. Now it’s the second gen version of the EOS that is in the limelight, with rumors already claiming the device having reached the production line. Or at least, the device has entered a stage where it is required in substantial numbers. All of these stems from a leaked image that shows several of the device almost in its final shape.
Also, the highlight of the new EOS is its full metallic makeup, which no doubt will add an extra dose of rigidity compared to its polycarbonate counterpart. Also, the device is a lot slimmer than the first gen EOS that has a pronounced lens protruding from the rear of the device. In any case, it is a lot more phone-like than the Galaxy S4 Zoom that is much like a digital camera but with a smartphone stamped on the rear side. The new upcoming EOS is even better in this respect with the rear camera even more streamlined with the rest of the body.
However, details are extremely scarce at the moment though there have been rumblings of the device coming with a 4.5 inch display having 720p resolution. The device though seems to carry on with the same 41 megapixel Carl Zeiss lens complete with a Xenon flash. The device is also touted to come with a 32 GB internal storage and will no doubt run the Windows phone operating system. More details are awaited.
