Nokia Lumia 1520 is Expected to Arrive on September 26

Nokia 1520 is going to be the first phone to release after Nokia’s acquisition by Microsoft. Nokia has produced quite a few mid-range Lumia devices till now and now it aims to launch phablet devices in this month. The Nokia 1520 has appeared out of nowhere and is expected to launch on Sept 26. The information was revealed by evleaks. However, there has been no official confirmation by Nokia on Lumia 1520 launch date.

The Finnish firm has sent any invitation for the launch event of the said phablet till now but if the rumor on the launch date of Nokia Lumia 1520 is really going to come true then we can expect invitations to roll out very soon. By the way, the device has not been in the news much but it has been in the rumors since July. Some believe that the Lumia 1520 is going to replace the Lumia 1020 which was released recently.

We cannot call the Lumia 1520 as a successor device for Lumia 1020 because both the handsets will be available on sale at the same time in the market. However, it is quite understandable that Lumia 1520 is the next big smartphone from Nokia.

It is going to be first time ever for the Finnish mobile company to offer a 6inch device. So, we can feel Nokia is getting to ready to take on the biggies in the market. The phablet from Nokia is going to feature a high quality camera that will be able to snap 5MP and 16MP photos simultaneously. It is the very same feature that was made exclusively available on the Lumia 1020.

The 6inch display is definitely going to feature a display that will support 1080p. So, this will be the first time that Nokia will be releasing a Windows Phone that brings full HD display. The September 26 launch date has surfaced suddenly. However, it is also the same time when Nokia is expected to roll out Windows RT tablet called Nokia Sirius.

Tech enthusiasts feel that Nokia will be unveiling a new tablet, Nokia Sirius and a new smartphone, Nokia Lumia 1520 during the same event on Sept 26. The Lumia 1520 looks quite similar to the other Lumia phones but it is going to be larger than any other Nokia smartphone ever made. The Nokia Lumia has got a 41MP camera placed at the rear of the phone because of which one can easily make out the bulge. Well, the Lumia 1520 is not rumored to feature a 41MP camera but a regular smartphone camera. An unconfirmed rumor reveals that Lumia 1520 will sport a 20MP PureView technology camera.

Nokia Lumia 1520 is going to be powered with a quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU. So a Lumia smartphone with 6inch full HD display and such powerful CPU onboard, it has to be powered with a heavy duty battery and that was Nokia is offering with this phablet. The phone will be powered with a staggering 3400mAh battery. We feel Lumia 1520 users will not face battery life issues because Windows Phone 8 OS which runs on this device is known to conventionally offer good battery life than Android OS.

The biggest Lumia smartphone ever will come with a internal storage space of 32GB. Much of the information we have published in this post has come from evleaks which has a consistent record of revealing pre-reveal details. The Lumia 1520 launch event is expected to take place in New York on Sept 26 and also the device is expected to be available on sale early November on AT&T’s network.
