The IFA 2013 tradeshow is going to be held at Berlin, Germany and it will be the event that will unleash some of the much awaited tech products from Samsung. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to be showcased at the event. However, another big revelation from Samsung would be its Galaxy Gear smartwatch is also going to be unveiled at the same event.
The news about Galaxy Gear smartwatch to come out at IFA 2013 was pretty much in the news for quite some time but now we have got something new for you. This time around we have got details on the specs of the smartwatch from Samsung. According to the recent rumors, 2.5inch OLED display with touchscreen support. It will come with a screen resolution of 320 x 320 pixels. The device will be powered by 1.6GHz dual-core CPU and 1GB RAM. The device may come in two storage variants of 6GB and 8GB.
The Samsung Galaxy Gear will allow you to view your notifications and even use some apps on its small screen. The Samsung Galaxy Gear will come with inbuilt speakers and it will be powered with Android Jelly Bean OS. The device was rumored to come out with bendable display but it is not going to happen at least at its first release.
Lee Young Hee who is the VP of Samsung mobile has told The Korea Times that will be launching a new wearable device named Galaxy Gear at the event that is going to be held on Sept 4 at Berlin. He did not confirm anything on the specs of the wearable device but she expressed that the usage of the Galaxy Gear would improve the usage of existing smartphones.
Thinking about how the Galaxy Gear will appear? An insider has revealed that the device resembles very much with the leaked image that came out in July at the US Patent and Trade Office. The Samsung Galaxy Gear will also feature a 4MP camera and a powerful battery that will produce 10 hours of life.
Samsung also plans to roll out more of smartwatches in the next year. The smartwatch from Samsung will let users to access the web and send and receive phone calls. Samsung’s Chieft Strategy Office, Young Sohn feels that in the coming years more and more people will use wearable computers.
The IFA 2013 is not just launching of new products from Samsung but also from other brands. Earlier this year, Sony had announced the SmartWatch 2. However, the Japanese tech giant has not revealed as to when users will be able to purchase the SmartWatch2. Apple is also working on its wearable smartwatch called iWatch. However, tech experts feel the iWatch is not going to arrive this year.
