The new variant is the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE Advanced. As the name suggests, the variant will come with LTE connectivity. Also, you can expect the device to have new improvements on the hardware front compared to the original version.
The LTE Advanced delivers faster internet connectivity to regular 4G LTE connectivity. We can say that LTE Advanced is the next generation internet connectivity and it is able to deliver the “true 4G” experience. You can get download speeds of up to 3Gbps and upload speeds of up to 1.5Gbps. Even though the speeds mentioned here are just theoretical information, you will still be able to enjoy speeds faster than the regular 4G LTE connectivity.
So the new Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE Advanced will deliver faster connectivity only in those places where carriers are offering LTE Advanced connectivity. The device is first going to be launched in Korea as the country already supports LTE-A connectivity. The rest of the world will soon support LTE-A connectivity. Once the connectivity becomes available in US, the Galaxy S4 LTE-A will also be released in US.
In Korea, the news of the new S4 LTE-A version has already annoyed Galaxy S4 customers. Yes it is understandable how people who have already bought the Galaxy S4 would feel. The Galaxy S4 was launched only two months ago and the manufacturers have gone ahead and announced a newer and better version of Galaxy S4. The Galaxy S4 which will be replaced the Galaxy S4 LTE-A version now sounds like an obsolete device. Many would have waited for two months to purchase the LTE-A if they knew that Samsung will be releasing a new version very soon.
Mobile enthusiasts in US and UK are not really happy about the new Galaxy S4 LTE-A version because the LTE Advanced networks have not been made available by the carriers. Apart from the LTE-A support what other features are available on the Galaxy S4 LTE-A? First of all, LTE-A support may be the USP of this smartphone but when it comes to performance the device will perform much faster than the original version.
The new variant will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 CPU. This CPU is the most powerful processor available for mobile platform currently. Cellular network providers are already working to offer LTE Advanced connectivity. In fact, AT&T has already announced that they will be offering LTE-A connectivity in the second half of the year.
So, customers who will purchase Galaxy S4 LTE-A version may not be able to enjoy the best of connectivity as LTE-A networks are still in developmental stages in many countries. So, customers will have to wait for few months. The device will undoubtedly slot itself in the numero uno position as competitors haven’t yet released any new smartphone that can give tough competition to the Galaxy S4.
