At the end of August, Samsung released the Samsung Gear S, the first smartwatch to make phone calls without being connected to a smartphone and yesterday Samsung released three new and impressive devices at an event that took place in New York. Let’s take a look at what those three devices!
Samsung Released Three Devices at September 3 Event
The most impressive device that Samsung released at the September 3 event was the Samsung VR, which is a virtual reality headset, or helmet which works with the Galaxy Note 4 attached to it. You can’t use the VR headset with the Note 4 attached to it. It’s quite a unique experience to have the device on and we think it’s going to catch on, especially due to the price of $200. It was created by Samsung in partnership with Oculus.
The two Samsung Galaxy Note phones that Samsung released at the September 3 event are the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge.
The Note 4 is a beautiful successor to 2013’s Note 3. It has the same 5.7-inch screen, improved camera and a wider display. The Edge features a display that extends over the right edge of the screen and curves towards the back; it basically has a second display on the right side of the smartphone.
The side display is a great feature that many people will love. It can show you the weather, news updates and even Tweets, while the phone is comfortably resting on a table. You can also add the apps you love the most so you can access them with ease.
While we think the curved display is a great idea, we simply have to wait and see if the customers think the same. Will it catch on? I guess we’ll see if it does in the near future.
