At the Sony pre-TGS press meeting held in Japan, SEGA revealed the new Phantasy Star Nova exclusively for the PlayStation Vita. The universe of the game is same as that of Phantasy Star Online 2. Even though it allows you to play online with up to four3 friends, the game is primarily a single player game.
Phantasy Star Online 2 was released for Windows powered computers in July 2012 in Japan. Then the game was made available for Japanese variant of PlayStation Vita in Feb 2013. The game was supposed to come for US markets but as of now nothing is clear about the US release date for PSO2.
The Phantasy Star Nova game will be arriving in 2014 in Japan. As of now, we are not sure when will the game arrive for western markets. The game is believed to have a strong storyline and it is mainly an offline centric game. Even it does allow you to play online, it is not a massive multiplayer online game.
More details on the Phantasy Star Nova will be revealed at the Tokyo Game Show 2013. The game has been developed by Tri-Ace, a company that has been arrived since 1995 and it is has produced numerous games for almost editions of handheld PlayStations such as the original PS, PS3, PS 3DS, and Vita.
Recently, Sony had announced the arrival of Sony PlayStation Vita TV which is a tiny console designed to take on Apple TV. The small set-top box can be hooked to a TV which let you play Vita, PSP and PS1 games on TV. Apart from gaming, it offers plenty of entertainment services like Nico Nico Douga, Video Unlimited, and Tustaya TV that offers Japanese content and PS4 support. The device is priced 9480 yen which is equivalent to $95 without sales tax. The device is going to release on Nov 14 in Japan.
