Most of the time, older people have a harder time falling asleep than younger ones, and they spent more time without sleep. However, most of them are likely to have a strong sense of purpose, which is one of the main things that help them rest.

Evidence shows that techniques such as mindful meditation are incredibly helpful, and help people gather more sense of purpose.

Researchers, together with doctors, recommend these techniques, as they seem to be really effective in improving sleep quality. Also, they are a drug-free way to treat insomnia. There’s no need to mention they also improve your psychological state, making you less sensitive to certain ailments.
Now, they are trying to find the best mindfulness techniques which are best regarding sleep problems, as well as those which cultivate a stronger sense of purpose and make people feel better about themselves.
Statistics show those people content with their lives were 52 percent less likely to suffer from restless leg syndrome, as well as 63 percent less likely to have sleep apnea. Also, they showed significantly less trouble falling asleep and maintaining a long night’s sleep. All the results have been collected in the journal Sleep Science and Practice.
