HTC One Mini on AT&T Release Date Set For August 23 Launch, Priced $99

August 24, 2013 By Jack M. Robinson Leave a Comment

It’s turning out to be interesting. While the Verizon HTC One is all set to start rolling from August 22, its smaller sibling, the One Mini will do the same via AT&T from the very next day itself, that is Aug 23. However, the device will be an AT&T exclusive, which means one will only have to be an AT&T subscriber to savor the goodness of the mini HTC.
However, we have already had numerous leaks and rumors to this effect, so it’s least surprising when the carrier finally made it official. The HTC One Mini will be available at $99 which of course involves agreeing to a contract of two years.

As for its specs, the One Mini is a scaled down version of the current HTC flagship. The device comes with a Snapdragon 400 dual core processor clocked at 1.4 GHz which is mated to a 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage. There is also an Adreno 305 chip to allow for smooth graphics operations. Some of its other specifications include a 4 MP primary camera (based on ultrapixel tech which means image quality will be far better than what the pixel count might suggest), a front facing camera of 1.6 MP, BoomSound audio and an 1800mAh battery. The device will run Android Jelly Bean version 4.2.2 with Sense 5 user interface running on top. On the front, it will be a 4.3 inch 720p display which translates to a pixel density of 341ppi. What is evident from the above is that the device would not be as powerful as the HTC One, but it is sleek as well as stylish and might as well appeal to those who are a bit concerned about the price and size of the device.

Meanwhile, the above announcement comes close on the heels of AT&T revealing its plans to launch the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3. So, there you have it, a device as big as 6.3 inches on one end of the size spectrum and the One Mini with a 4.3 inch display on the other.

HTC One Mini Coming Soon Confirmed by HTC

July 17, 2013 By Troy Rubenson Leave a Comment

HTC One Mini is going to arrive but till now HTC has not made any announcement on it. However, through what was published by HTC unintentionally, we can understand the smaller edition of HTC One is going to arrive soon. The post that spoke about smaller edition of HTC One has been deleted. Interesting thing is that the deleted post did not have the name ‘HTC One Mini’ in it.

Samsung recently released variants of Samsung Galaxy S4. In the same way, HTC is also going to announce variants of HTC One in the near future. The range would include a powerful edition of HTC One, HTC One Max which is expected to be launched after Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is released, a smaller edition of the HTC One known as the HTC One Mini.

The deleted post was seen by Android Police. Here is what was mentioned in the post

“The HTC One, by many accounts, is the pinnacle of smartphone achievement. The beautiful metal design, powerful hardware, and innovative user experience pack a lot into a svelte package, making it hit with critics and consumers alike. This success has only boosted our passion to bring the One experience to as many people as possible.

In that spirit, here’s an homage to little things that back a big punch.

Can you think of anything else that packs a big punch into a small package?”

Here we can see the name HTC One Mini has not been mentioned but it is quite evident that they are talking about the coming of a smaller edition of HTC One. The HTC One Mini is expected to come out of the den in the coming few weeks. At first, the HTC One’s smaller edition will be available with T-Mobile in US and soon other carriers will also support the device.

According to the rumors, the HTC One Mini appears very similar to the original HTC One and the only major difference in appearance is the size. It will come with a 4.3 inch display that supports 720p, dual-core CPU, ultrapixel camera, Android 4.2 and the HTC Sense 5 UI. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and very soon HTC One Mini will jump into competition to take on the Galaxy S4 Mini.

HTC One Mini Rumors For August 3 Release in Germany

July 4, 2013 By Deborah Cobing Leave a Comment

The HTC One Mini has been hitting headlines in tech circles on a regular basis. The device too is among the most eagerly awaited and it’s not without reason. For the miniaturized smartphone is likely to appeal to those who don’t need that big a display and as many features that the standard HTC One has come to signify. Plus there is also the price factor as the One Mini will also be more affordably priced as its bigger brother.

However, with so much being the frenzy around the device, HTC is yet to come out officially with anything about the mini smartphone. And it is just this that makes the perfect breeding ground for rumors and speculations to thrive. Also, while still on rumors, previous leaks had pegged the release date of the Mini One in August. Fortunately, we have something more concrete on this now thanks to report originating out of Germany.

As per a German site, the One Mini will be released by the carrier O2 in that country on August 3. Now with two independent sources pointing to the same month of August as the possible release date of the One Mini, the rumor does seem to have attained a degree of credibility. What remains to be seen now if things really unfold that way with the One Mini. No word though as to when the device will eventually be seen making a global debut.

As for its specs, the One Mini will sport a smaller 4.3 inch display having a pixel density of 342. Behind that, it’s likely to be a dual core chip doing duty, along with a 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. The device will comes with a 4 ultrapixel primary camera at the rear along with a front shooter and Beats audio. The smartphone will run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

June 21, 2013 By Troy Rubenson 2 Comments

Both Samsung and HTC released their flagship devices this year, Galaxy S4 and HTC One respectively. However, the HTC One which released before the Galaxy S4 failed to attract much sales as compared to S4. Now both the companies are talking about releasing mini version of the both the smartphones, Galaxy S4 Mini and HTC One Mini.

Samsung will be unveiling the Galaxy S4 Mini during the London even that is to take place on 20th June. However, they have not confirmed anything on the release date of the phone. HTC One Mini which appeared suddenly from nowhere is going to be available for sale in the month of August. The device is also named as the HTC M4.

According to the recent rumors, the HTC One Mini is going to feature 4.3inch 720p display, dual-core CPU, 16GB internal storage, 2GB RAM and an ultramegapixel camera. Tech enthusiasts feel that the tech specs of HTC One Mini is better than that of Galaxy S4.

It goes without saying that HTC One has been a savior for HTC which was struggling very badly and it’s after long time that HTC is finally earning good revenue. The mini version will sport similar design as the original HTC One. We have got a leaked photo of the HTC Mini. The pic was made available on the web by Engadget. The pic shows the HTC One Mini alongside the original HTC One.

HTC One Mini to be Available From T-Mobile Soon

June 19, 2013 By Georgia Dawson Leave a Comment

The mini version of the HTC One going by the codename M4 is already on its way to a launch in the US, with initial reports claiming T-Mobile being the preferred carrier. The above piece of information is based on a tweet by an HTC insider going by the Twitter handle ‘LlabTooFer’ which should put to rest any doubt concerning the device making it to the US shores soon. However, what is not known at this point of time is exactly when the HTC One Mini will be arriving at T-Mobile.

HTC-One-Mini

What is almost a surety though is that the One Mini might not be seen sporting the Verizon colors. At least that is how things seem to be shaping up right now though who knows, there might be a change of heart somewhere in between. Also, what seems to be likelihood is that those eager to have the One Mini might have to flock to T-Mobile to have the device, at least during the initial states. How good the idea is to achieve maximum market penetration is always debatable, more so when HTC itself is going through a precarious state and the company has a lot a stake on the success of its One series of smartphone.

Like its big brother HTC One, the One Mini will have as it prime competitor the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. The One Mini is characterized by a smaller display and slightly less features than the One. However, the smaller versions does make a lot of sense for those who do not require that big a display as the full blown HTC One has to offer or all of its extensive list of features. Instead, the One Mini should suffice those on the lookout for a more handy device that allows for more than the basic phone features but at a more decent price.
