iOS 7 Release Date Nearing for iDevices (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch)

September 18, 2013 By Troy Rubenson 1 Comment

When the iOS 7 going to release? We all know it, it is going to release tomorrow for iDevices like iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. You can install the upgrade on your Apple device on the same day when the release is made public. We are going to share with you some tips that will help you in installing the new upgrade without facing any glitches.

Apple officially announced about the iOS 7 upgrade during the WWDC 2013 event that was held earlier. The iOS 7 will bring new features along with a refreshingly new appeal which is quite different from the appeal of all the previous versions of iOS. The much lingering release date of iOS 7 upgrade is finally arriving tomorrow.

In the previous week, Apple announced some of the new features that would come with iOS7 upgrade. Air Drop, improved Camera app, new Control Center, enhanced Siri, and an amazing new design of the OS are some of the things iDevice users will get very soon.

iOS 7 upgrade will be able for iPhones like iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and iPhone 4. For iPads, the iOS7 will be available for iPad 2, iPad 3 and iPad 4. For iPod Touch, the upgrade will only come to the fifth gen product. Users who own any of the above mentioned iDevice can install the iOS7 update as soon as Apple makes it available.

Those who have previously updated their product any iOS update, they would know it pretty well that the update process is not smooth. Server issues and bug issues are something that can disturb your installation process. So, tech experts who are waiting for the arrival of iOS7 upgrade are also waiting to see whether the installation process will be easy or not.

First of all, you need to keep your mind ready that the installation process of the new iOS7 update may not be easy. However, there are few things that you can do to ensure the process is carried out smoothly. To make the process smooth, we advise you to download the latest version of iTunes beforehand. Also, you need to have an Apple ID. You need to perform backup of your data so that you can get it back in case the installation process fails.

Know the iOS 7 Before You go For the Upgrade
You need to be aware of the fact that once you install the iOS7 update on your iDevice, you will not be able to revert back to your older iOS. So, we advise you to first you to go through the release notes and features of iOS7 and only go for the upgrade if you really want it. This does not mean that we are saying that the iOS7 is not worth an install. However, the only thing we are citing here is that you won’t be able to come back to iOS6 after the installation of new iOS.

iOS 7 brings to you new features and new appeal which means after installing the new update, you may get confused once you have downloaded the update. On YouTube, you can already find iOS 7 hands-on videos. You can simply go through some of them and see if the new features really interest you and then only go for the upgrade. Also, you can wait and spend a day or two to read first impressions and then go for the update.

Make time for iOS 7 Update
The iOS7 upgrade will certainly not finish in ten minutes. The entire process can last from 50 to 130 minutes depending on the iDevice product users are using. So, it would be good if you can make a time of about one hour or so to download and carry out the installation. Since a lot of iDevice owners will be going for the upgrade, Apple server’s may work slowly and you may experience slowness during the installation process.

Do not Go for On-The-Go Update
Make sure you perform the iOS7 upgrade where there are less distractions. Hence, we advise you to do iOS7 installation at home as there is a risk of something to go wrong if you perform the update on-the-go. Downloading the update can eat up your data plan or consume a lot of battery if you try to do it on-the-go. Hence, we advise you to do it at home where you can connect through Wi-Fi.

iPhone 5S With iOS 7 Release Date Latest Rumors of Apple Products

June 15, 2013 By Deborah Cobing 1 Comment

There are two major streams of discussion that has emerged when it comes to Apple and its products. It being the new iOS 7 along with its supposedly groundbreaking features, and the iPhone 5S which is next in line of the iPhone series.

ios-7

Probable release dates of the iPhone 5S has turned out to be a hot topic, with some speculating it to be August while others, the traditionalist, keeping with September. The August speculation is based on notes to investors and also information received from the suppliers Apple is taking the components that would go into the making of the iPhone 5S.

September launch logic goes with the reasoning of the iPhone 5 having been launched in that month last year. Its global availability had been around November and December last year. Possibility of Apple including their iPad Mini Retina, as well as the MacBook Pro is also there. That the latter will have the Haswell processor from Intel is the additional speculation.

The factors that play against the September release date are that there are other mobile devices that would rival the Apple product and are due for release in the months to come. The major mobile makers in this race are Samsung and HTC. The Galaxy Note 3 which will be the newest flagship from Samsung is expected in the US this fall while the HTC One Mini is expected to hit the market during the August-September period.  The exact dates of the HTC One would be confirmed at the IFA event.

Apple has a lot at stake so far as the iPhone 5S goes. They have been facing a downward trend in the stock market. They have no additional device to bring in revenue and their market share is on the decline. A release date late in the year may therefore create problems for Apple in all these aspects and even carry over to 2014.

The iOS 7 is one other Apple related issue which would have some effect on the launch date of the iPhone 5S. This new OS from Apple is supposed to be installed on all the new Apple devices as well as older ones that have a retina display on them. The release of the iOS 7 after smoothening the initial bugs would have to be completed before the iPhone 5S launch as this device would also have iOS 7 at its core.

When it comes to what the iOS 7 has to offer so far as looks and functions go, there are ample YouTube video content available to get a fair knowledge on this. There are however contradictory reports like one concluding the colors are too bright while another states it is just perfect.

The iOS 7 would have telling effect on Apple users for they would either like it so much that they would go on to the iPhone 5S. If they don’t, then the possibility of remaining with their previous variant is there else they may also move on to Android phones which have a wider variety to select from.

One other challenge which Apple would need to consider is Google Play Store making the Android phones available via their web site running the latest Android version in its purest form. Products like Nexus or the Google Edition Galaxy S4 and HTC One sets are some of the devices which are being made available via Google Play Store with no modification to the Android OS.

News about Apple considering the addition of just one color variant to its iPhone 5S makes for this competition which Apple has to face. It would be a better decision if Apple went on to add more such color variations in their sets for the user to select from.
