Samsung Electronics and other companies strongly sustain the Tizen operating system. Since not many have heard about this software, what is so great about Tizen? It is an open-source which has been very popular among South Korean companies.
The smartphone is said to cover 3G networks. Still a 4G coverage is not yet included. The slower connectivity should not be seen as a total drawback, because Samsung’s aim was to create an entertainment phone. Therefore, Samsung Z1 is provided with other benefits such as free data for six months. Of course, the free data is not unlimited. Samsung offers 500MB to access and download from Club Samsung.
One of the most unique features is that users can set their primary contacts in case of emergency. If the user presses four times the power button, the phone will instantly send a “help” message. This feature was mainly developed concerning women’s security.
The company does not have high expectations with the new Samsung Z1 because people are not yet accustomed to this new operating system. Also, it has a few huge competitors such as Android or Windows 8.
