If you go by the rumors, you will be surprised to know that Amazon is planning to launch 3 new variants of Kindle Fire which includes a successor for Kindle Fire, a Kindle Fire HD 2 (successor of Kindle Fire HD) and a successor for Kindle Fire HD 2 8.9.
The Kindle Fire HD 2 which is going to have a 7inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels is going to take on other so-called mini tablets in the market such as Nexus 7 2 and iPad Mini 2. The details on the specs of all the three devices are yet to be released. However, the new devices will sport better design and have some new features.
The Nexus 7 2 and iPad Mini 2 are the two tablets that have been in the news for quite some time. Now, the third one to join is the Kindle Fire HD 2. When first generation versions of Nexus and iPad Mini werelaunched, even Amazon had launched Kindle Fire.
All the three Kindle Fire variants are expected to go on sale by August or September. All the three will be launched in between the launching of Nexus 7 2 and iPad Mini 2. The Google Nexus 7 2 will be going on sale by July end. The Apple iPad Mini 2 is expected to show up during the fall or before the holiday period begins.
