The D Day has been fixed to August 22. For it will be on this day that we finally will be seeing an HTC one device coming out of the Verizon gates. Yes the Verizon HTC one release date is on 22nd August.
This comes after months of waiting and dozens of speculations and leaks, much to the relief of those who wished to see the HTC device arriving on one of the biggest 4G LTE networks in the US. The price factor involved will be $199 after agreeing to a two year contract. The device will be available to be picked up from both the online as well as brick and mortar stores simultaneously from 22nd August.
On offer will be only the silver version of the HTC One having 32 GB of onboard storage. Also, the Verizon version of the HTC smartphone will run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean straight out of the bat. All other HTC One devices currently available in the US via other carriers run Android 4.2.1. Perhaps this is Verizon’s way of rewarding those who have been patiently awaiting the HTC smartphone to arrive from the carrier. Such a move will also act to differentiate the Verizon offering from the same via other carriers such as AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and such all of which runs Android 4.2.1.
The HTC One made its market debut in the US in March and had been one of the hottest Android smartphone offering since then. It was plagued by production issues soon thereafter owing to the difficulty that the manufacturers had to face with the ultrapixel camera the device comes with. Now with all of those having been long sorted out, the device is available in the market in all its fervor.
However, the above seems to have the least to do with Verizon offering the device months later. For its not the first time the carrier has delayed the launch of a device as it
