Referring to the historical political, diplomatic, economic and military clash between Russia and the Occident, third-mandate president Vladimir Putin stated that the Russian Federation will be victorious in the end, if the Eastern giant state will maintain its position and firmly protect it.
President Vladimir Putin has spoken in front of the Federal Security Service officials. The Federal Security Service is the agency that arose from KGB`s ashes, after the latter was dissolved. During his speech, Vladimir Putin has referred to the situation that emerged at Russia`s frontiers, with the West advancing in the process of securing it`s Eastern boundaries.
Vladimir Putin said that the status-quo now found encircling Russia will be bettered in the time to come, but he emphasized that the Russian Federation will not kneel in front of any state or coalition and that it will not appeal to disadvantageous trades or concessions. According to Putin, the only option for Russia is to become stronger.
This, says Putin, should be an answer to the propaganda that the West leads against the Russian Federation. President Vladimir Putin accuses the Occident of attempting to isolate Russia on every section: politically, economically, using misinformation on global scale and also special services in order to create a bad image for Russia, which won`t let the state to continue and develop its web of alliance.
Among the greatest dangers for the Russian Federation, says President Putin, are the positioning of NATO troops close to the Euro-Asian state`s frontiers, the anti-missile program that is led by the United States and the development of long ranged weapons which are highly precise, also controlled by the United States.
It is a lot of pressure from the West, but Vladimir Putin warns that, as Russia was never scared of the Western attempts to irritate, this will be the case in present days as well.
The relationship between Russia and the Occident suffered the most considerable decrease since the Cold War, mostly because of the events that unfolded in Ukraine, since the EuroMaidan and the annexation of Crimea. Also, the Russians are thought to support the insurgents that are fighting in the eastern part of Ukraine. This caused the United States and the European Union to implement harsh economic embargos against the Russian Federation.
Vladimir Putin has also spoken regarding the next objective of the Russian special services.
“Later they could be used against us, against Russia and its neighbors. So it’s important to take additional measures to cut international links and resource base of the terrorists, block avenues for their entry and exit from Russia.”
said Vladimir Putin, referring to the Russians that emigrated to fight under the Islamic State.
