A lot of companies are concerned about the environmental policies of the new president.
STATES CHRONICLE – The new president of the US received some concerning warnings from several major companies. Hundreds of such enterprises are terrified at the thought that the new policies of the new presidency might jeopardize their businesses and especially the environment. Among the massive number of three hundred companies, there was Gap, Nike, and Starbucks who were afraid of losing their businesses.
They have all signed an open letter addressed to Donald Trump. These companies were asking him not to repeal the policies which are meant to protect against the devastating effects of climate change. More specifically, they are urging the new president to keep restricting the emissions of carbon, implementing the Paris Climate Agreement. This document represents a treaty signed by the US and other countries bound to assure the reduction of greenhouse gasses.
The letter claimed that more than 300 companies would fight to impose their desire of having an energy-efficient economy, which should be fueled by energy based on low-carbon. If the plan fails to be accomplished and the low-carbon economy will not be introduced, then the prosperity of the US will be threatened.
Unfortunately, Donald Trump does not believe that global warming is a real problem which has started revealing its terrible effects upon ecosystems, affecting the whole planet. Despite all proves nature has given us, Trump still believes that the idea of climate change is just a scam invented by the Chinese people. Thus, the new president has urged America to withdraw from the Paris Agreement. He argued that the Chinese have developed this terrifying issue to transform the process of manufacturing the US into a non-competitive one.
Global warming represents a real threat towards humanity and the entire planet. This blue dot we are living on has started decaying more and more as years go by due to the human-made disasters and the lack of responsibility which drove us to exploit nature at its best. The desire for progress and money had brought us to this point, in which we are facing terrible droughts, and the meltdowns at the Arctic became a habit. This whole world has signed a treaty, hoping this will solve the problem when eventual efforts try to change something in the coming years.
Officials did not yet understand that the moment to act upon this problem is now. Hundreds of species are on the verge of becoming extinct because of the damaged ecosystems. We should use our advanced technology to save our planet.
