There is an addition to deaths caused due to West Nile Virus this year. MSDH, the Mississippi State department of Health has issued a statement that one more death has been reported in Bolivar County.
West Nile virus is a mosquito-borne disease which generally presents in the form of fever at first which might lead to dangerous and life threatening complications like Meningitis. It is generally seen in people living in tropical and temperate regions.
Mississippi State department of Health officials also said that there are four new cases of the West Nile virus reported. The new cases were seen in Forrest, Rankin and Hinds, increasing the total count of west Nile virus patients to 12 for the year 2013.
The health officials have already released an advisory to all the residents to take the necessary precautions for avoiding the mosquito bite which might result in WNV. There was already a death reported this year due to West Nile Virus.
