The most interesting thing is health benefits of chocolate, and it is more interesting when it comes to benefit of brain, a lot of research is going on in chocolate for the contents of this as it is said that the cocoa decreases age related problem. No one can say that why chocolate, cocoa is good for brain but certain things are good.
A team has done a study to about 60 people and divided into 30 and 30 and made a test that one group will drink 2 cups of flavanol-rich and other group flavanol-poor cocoa every day and this test last for one month. Flavanol is type of polyphenol – antioxidants found in food like cocoa, berries, tea and wine.
After this the members of both the group are tested for memory and thinking skills both before and after the test and some ultrasound to measure blood flow. There was not much difference found in the test so the researchers has done some deep research they found that improved flow of blood is and white matter which was found damaged in the beginning of the test did show some repair after the test. The flow of blood has improved to about 8% and time to complete the memory task decreases to 116 from 167.
The problem is not this that cocoa does this but problem is, we don’t know that which compound of cocoa has done this today we are developed a lot but still today we don’t know that which compound of cocoa is beneficial for us. After the test it is found that only the people with compromised flow of blood showed improvement.
So, keep yourself updated about the use and details of cocoa because having cocoa is bad thing.
