iOS 7 was released on Sept 18th and within ten days Apple has rolled a new update for the OS. The new update that has been immediately rolled out is mainly to fix the lock screen issue of the phone. The problem with the lock screen was found very quickly after the new iOS7 was released. At that time Apple had told that they were working on resolving the issue.
The bug with the lock screen was such that users were able to go pass the lock screen without manually entering the pass code. By bypassing the lock screen users were able to make calls, share photos and view apps that were used recently. Apple has rolled out the iOS 7.0.2 update mainly to fix this issue. Apple has added Greek keyboard option in the new update for entering the pass code. The Greek keyboard was not found in iOS’s previous version.
As soon as the update was made available, huge numbers of iOS devices were updated to the latest iOS 7.0.2 update. If you are also interested in performing the update, you can go to Settings menu and then tap on General and then again tap on Software Update. The new update is also available over the air. Alternatively, you can check for the updates through iTunes on your PC. If you do not want to rely on your wireless network’s speed then this option will be quite good for you.
The flaw that was found with the iOS 7 after its release made global headlines. Depending on the iDevice that people are using, the size of the update varies from 17MB to 21MB. On the iPhone 5, the update is only of 21NV
Recently, we had reported that German hacker group had claimed that they were able to bypass the fingerprint authentication feature that was introduced on the new iPhone 5S. Apple has remained tight lipped about it and there is no news on whether they are working on a fix to resolve a possible issue. The German hacker group had also revealed a video through which they showed how they were able to bypass the biometric authentication feature.
iOS 7 update which was first showcased on the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C phones on Sept 10 was released officially on Sept 18. Apple has dubbed the new iOS 7 as ‘the most significant iOS update since the original iPhone.’ The new update brings entirely new look to the design of the iOS and it also introduces couple of new features. Despite that an issue was found with it, hence the Cupertino company was fast in rolling out a new iOS 7.0.2 update.
