Assassin’s Creed creators accurately predicted the presence of the void inside the Great Pyramid of Giza
STATES CHRONICLE – Researchers discovered a secret chamber hidden within the Great Pyramid of Giza, and the news took almost everyone by surprise. The finding wasn’t so novel for Assassin’s Creed players, as the latest game in the series had already included the great void inside the pyramid.
There’s a huge void right in the center of the Great Pyramid of Giza
Last week, researchers identified the presence of a huge gaping void within the walls of the Great Pyramid of Giza. The discovery was massive, and news on the subject circulated everywhere on the internet. They also published a study in the journal Nature, where they explained the technology which led to the impressive finding.
Interestingly enough, this is not the first time when someone mentions a void inside the pyramid. The latest game in the Assassin’s Creed series, Origins, had already included a secret room inside the Great Pyramid of Giza, and this room greatly resembles the actual void detected inside. The in-game vault was part of a quest where players had to explore the Egyptian pyramid.
Researchers used advanced technology to spot the presence of the void inside the ancient formation. They used some subatomic particles which behaved just like X-rays, and took a glimpse within its walls without actually entering it. This leads to a bugging question, namely how did the Assassin’s Creed creators know the void was there?
Assassin’s Creed creators included this vault in the game before scientists could make their discovery
As soon as the finding went public, the fans of the game overtook Twitter, and let everybody know Origins was the first to mention the void within the Great Pyramid of Giza. They claimed the creators of the game were able to predict the unusual formation.
Maxime Durand, the historian of the game, explained the mystery. During the creative process, they took inspiration from the work of Jean-Pierre Houdin, a French architect who claimed the pyramid had a main vault in the center which connected the two chambers. They decided to include this theory in the game, and even design a detailed image of how this ramp must have looked like.
