Atlanta Sisters Claimed Boy Was Chocking on Cupcake

Glenndria and LaShirley Morris were recently taken into police custody and charged with first-degree cruelty to children, aggravated assault, and first-degree murder after the authorities determined that the two Atlanta sister beat a 3-year-old boy to death with a baseball bat.

According to the women’s affidavit, the incident which allegedly took place on the 21st of October was wrongly interpreted. The Morris sisters told the investigator that the 3-year-old boy swiped a cupcake from the kitchen and started to choke on it.

She added that LaShirley, who was also 3-year-old Kejuan Mason’s legal guardian, tried to make the child cough up the piece of cupcake lodged in his throat and that in no way did they abused him. However, the paramedics and ER doctors who took care of little Kejuan paint an entirely different story.

According to the authorities, when the emergency responders arrived, the boy was in cardiac arrest. Kejuan was resuscitated and rushed to the Atlanta Medical Center where he later passed away. The ER doctors who took care of the child observed that the toddler had signed of trauma on his arms, legs, head, and stomach.

Following their arrest, the Atlanta sisters confessed to the deed. While LaShirley repeatedly hit the 3-year-old with a baseball bat, her sister Glenndria was holding him down with one hand and spanking him with the other. The coroner’s report revealed that the boy died as a result of extreme trauma.
