The boy just before he pees in the elevator – scroll down for video!
STATES CHRONICLE – A boy was publicly shamed on Chinese social media site Weibo after peeing in an elevator (similar to Twitter). The video was posted February 23rd by the Ministry of Public Security with the hopes of reinforcing positive behavior in children by showing a negative example.
The post was accompanied by a caption encouraging people to be stricter when it comes to parental control. The caption warned that people should take better care to educate their children.
Instant Viral Sensation
Internet fame was probably not the first thought in his mind. When this boy (who looks about 10) entered a building’s elevator in southwest Chongqing. Upon finding himself inside (see video below), the boy proceeded to unzip his pants and urinate on the floor. However, it seemed clear from the start that his target was the elevator panel as he started to move towards it.
With the skill of a painter, the boy proceeded to cover the whole button panel in his pee. Satisfied that he did a good job, he stepped back and zipped back his pants. As he sat waiting for the elevator to stop, he realized the small chamber began to jolt.
After a while it stopped at a floor, but the doors only opened for a brief moment before the elevator stopped again. The boy began to jump up and down. To no avail. The buttons began to flash furiously. The lights went out. He was now left in complete darkness.
It’s very likely that the elevator short-circuited and, when left without power, stopped. Of the 12 million views on Weibo, many users said the boy probably takes after his parents. Others suggested the parents pay for the repairs.
The Height of the Debate
However, the parents themselves question the allegation that their son was the serial peer. A reporter quoted him saying:
He says that his son cannot yet urinate that high, he doesn’t believe it, and his son won’t admit it, says he didn’t do it.
Whether the family pays for the repairs or not, we hope the kid has learned his lesson. We’re sure that his brief moment of fame is enough to stop the naughty boy in the future.
