We should learn more from cancer survivors

Cancer survivors are heroes who know how to enjoy life.

STATES CHRONICLE – There is no easy way to find that you suffer from cancer. There will be moments when everything will seem hopeless, that no matter what you try, you will never manage to survive. However, there are some people who can be called heroes. They did it. They survived the impossible. Cancer survivors are the best people to teach us how to enjoy every moment.

Among these cancer survivors, there a lot of children. They got a second chance to live, to grow up, go to college, follow their dreams and start their own families. September is the Childhood Cancer Awareness month. There are millions of kids who suffer from this disease, in the whole world. Parents are trying to do their best, but it is hard to think what they are feeling.  Sometimes, miracles happen and young boys and girls return home, to their families and have a normal life.

Of course, nothing is easy. They take a lot of treatments, chemotherapy, and even radiotherapy.  Some of them have a lot of pain, but they manage to smile and dream for better days.  When they are healed, they learn to enjoy life more than ever. All those common things are important for them. Your life changes and you realize that you should be happy for having a family, a place to live and friends.  Cancer survivors are happy even when they see the sun rising.

People are so busy in developing the life they want, that they forget to really live. If you knew that you could have died, how would your life be from that moment? There are no rules about how to live our life, we just have to make the best of every moment. Cancer survivors learned that on the hard way. They are aware how difficult life could be.

The good news is that, according to a study, researchers found fewer deaths from cancer. Children who survive this disease are having a normal life. When they get older, their biggest problem will be heart diseases, not cancer.

The most important lesson we can learn from cancer survivors is that we must live the moment and enjoy even the smallest things. They are the best examples for all of us, especially when we feel like there is no hope. There will always be hope, even in the darkest times.
