An Important Step Ahead – Malaria Vaccine

Malaria, a disaster in health hazard, is now about to experience a downtime. Top researchers from US confirmed a volunteer vaccine for malaria. Its notable, Malaria is sucking down millions of sickens around the globe.  It’s been proven Malaria is imparting a huge unacceptable and extraordinary global burden.

The vaccine is in a form of Soap. The scientific proof, approval and distribution may take a couple of years but the results of tests are marvelous. This vaccine is produced at Maryland Company Sanaria Inc. and bears the core patent rights.

Reports says, the vaccine is shown finest results for protection of subjects against Malaria (mosquito-borne tropical disease), that records more than 200 billion sickens in a year and subjects to kill around 660,000 lives in the year 2010.

The vaccine is produced using formulation of the samples of a single celled parasite, Plasmodium falciparum, which causes Malaria. Using incense sticks? Beware of its health hazards

Los Angeles: Incense sticks may make you feel soothing and calm but beware of using them as they could come with a health risk.

According to a new research, burning these sticks generate indoor air pollutants which have several health hazards that includes inflammation in human lung cells.

A new study, carried out by researchers in the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the US, says burning incense releases air pollutants, including poisonous gas‘carbon monoxide’.incense sticks

 

The report of the findings, titled “Hazard assessment of United Arab Emirates (UAE) incense smoke” was published in the August 2013 issue of Science of the Total Environment.

The study holds special importance in the light of WHO estimates that says more than one million people a year die from chronic obstructive respiratory disease (COPD). The prime reasons behind these diseases were slated to be exposure to pollutants from stoves and open hearths. Incense sticks releases similar pollutants while burning.

West Nile Virus Claims one more Life in Bolivar County, Says MSDH

There is an addition to deaths caused due to West Nile Virus this year. MSDH, the Mississippi State department of Health has issued a statement that one more death has been reported in Bolivar County.

West Nile virus is a mosquito-borne disease which generally presents in the form of fever at first which might lead to dangerous and life threatening complications like Meningitis. It is generally seen in people living in tropical and temperate regions.

Mississippi State department of Health officials also said that there are four new cases of the West Nile virus reported. The new cases were seen in Forrest, Rankin and Hinds, increasing the total count of west Nile virus patients to 12 for the year 2013.

The health officials have already released an advisory to all the residents to take the necessary precautions for avoiding the mosquito bite which might result in WNV. There was already a death reported this year due to West Nile Virus.
