Watch will broadcast shows and video content from popular publishers
STATES CHRONICLE – A few weeks ago, Facebook introduced Watch in its desktop and mobile app. Initially, the app was available only to several users, as Facebook launched it for testing. It seems the feed was popular, as the company now rolls it out for all users in the US.
Watch will broadcast live video shows on Facebook
Facebook wants to fully embrace video content, and make it more accessible to all users. Therefore, the app will now get a dedicated section called Watch. For this section, Facebook will collaborate with popular publishers, who will produce original video content and shows, and will broadcast them in a TV fashion.
The platform began testing Watch sometime at the beginning of August. It seems to have been popular among users, as Facebook already announced the general rolling out of the video platform. If you haven’t received it yet in your app, worry not. The process might take a few days, but you will get to enjoy it in no time.
Many publishers got involved in this initiative
Watch might have just been released, but many publishers have already stormed with content. Facebook revealed the publishers wasted no time, and many shows are already available, with many more to come. If you’re curious about what you’re going to see, Watch will include talk shows, cooking programs, animations, or even a dating show available in VR.
Unfortunately for foreign users, Facebook launched this platform only in the US. However, the video platform will definitely roll out in other countries as well, but it might take a while. Given the fact that it took the company less than a month to expand the service to the entire US, then the wait might be shorter than you would imagine.
