Flakka – the new drug that leads to cannibalism

STATES CHRONICLE – Drugs are a major issue in our society, especially among teenagers.  According to the latest news, a 19-year-old student has been on the hallucinogen when he stabbed a couple and ate the face of one of the victims. The drug that he used is called Flakka and it seems to be more dangerous than the others we have known by now.

The police are still waiting for the test results to be sure. The drug was once an epidemic in parts of Florida and it was linked to a number of unusual incidents in the past. Officers reported that it took multiple policemen and dogs to stop the student from biting the flesh off the man. The victims were killed outside of their home. When the police got there, Austin Harrouff was in the driveway, biting the victim’s face. According to the officials, one of the victims died of force trauma injuries, while the other one died of multiple stab wounds. Moreover, it seems that the student had no connection to the victims, so we are wondering why he attacked them.

Austin Harrouff is now in the hospital. The blood tests showed there are no signs of common drugs, so doctors want to see if he took a hallucinogenic one, such as Flakka. His parents said that he had a strange behaviour before the attack and they tried to find him.

If you have not heard about Flakka, you should know it is a psychoactive stimulant.  It can drive people into a state of delirium, which can involve hallucinations too. What is important about it is his major side effect, cannibalism. This is not the first murder where someone who used the drug wants to eat the flesh of their victims. Moreover, there are videos of people who used Flakka. They were having unusual behaviour such as running naked through streets. It seems that this drug is stronger that what we were used to knowing.

Flakka drug is eaten, injected or vaporized. The police are warning all of us to stay away from drugs because we never know what effects they can have. You can’t trust your health to some person who will give you the drug just to get money. Be aware of the danger Flakka can be. If you know someone who has problems because of drugs, help him/her. It is their only chance for a normal life.
