Samsung Galaxy S5, the future smartphone is being talked about more than the current Galaxy S4. The reason is all too obvious, the S4 failed to keep the initial momentum it generated long enough, something exemplified by the flagging sales of the Samsung flagship device within just months of it making to the market.
However, for those who might have been thinking the Galaxy S5 release date is just round the corner and will come as a quick fix solution to the Galaxy S4 imbroglio, well the release date of Galaxy S5 shouldn’t be expected before spring next year.
As it is, launching a smartphone that vies to be among the worlds’ best is never an easy tasks and does involve a lot of careful planning. Such an endeavor also calls for a lot of financial backing, something that can pose a lot of stress on the finances of a company even as big as Samsung.
Meanwhile, with details of the upcoming S4 successor has been few and far between, there have been rumors of Samsung adopting a new design theme with the new Galaxy S5, something that they’d like to refer to as Design 3.0.
This new design theme will be applicable to future Samsung smartphone devices and will introduce sweeping changes to the handset’s interior as well as exterior. However, there are little to no chances of Design 3.0 being applicable to the upcoming Galaxy Note 3 that is scheduled to launch on September 4.
Samsung has also been doing active research with flexible display which it has been showing off at almost all major tech shows this year. Also, while both the Galaxy S4 and Note 3 were linked to the flexible display, it eventually didn’t make it to the S4 and Note 3 too is unlikely to feature a flexible display as well.
We got to wait some more time for more details to emerge, which can be confirmed only in the spring on Galaxy S5 release date.
