Even if Windows 10 is not yet ready for the release, needing to be reviewed and finished in a proper way, based on reviews by developers all around the world and even on some feedback by common users, most of the technologies that will work with the upcoming operating system by Microsoft are preparing for the big release, scheduled for the end of summer this year. For instance, GeForce drivers are ready for Windows 10, according to a recent statement made by officials talking on behalf of Nvidia.
And it is not only that the developers and manufacturers affiliated to Nvidia have done their job and the product is ready for use. As in most cases, when it comes to a new operating system release, Microsoft likes to verify the capabilities and compatibility of the products that the versions of Windows will cope with. The GeForce DirectX 12 drivers by Nvidia will work with GeForce 600 series and they have already been OKed by the testers at Microsoft’s Windows Hardware Qualification Lab (WHQL). Having been confirmed as OK by the WHQL basically means that Microsoft has received your product well and agrees to integrate it into their technology. So the GeForce DirectX 12 drivers will be featured on the Windows 10.
There is another advantage for the creator of a software which has been confirmed as valuable and helpful by the WHQL. Such software benefits from a immensely eased distribution, being able to be shared through Windows Update.
Some tech analysts in connection to the matter of Windows 10`s launch have been impressed by the firmness that Nvidia has shown. They say that in many cases graphics drivers come out in the `beta` phase. This time though, Nvidia has done its homework and now all the company has to do is wait for Windows 10 to be launched and enjoy the good times of tech`s miracle. Devs, you brought it to us.
On Friday, Nvidia released a comment on the matter within a post on the company`s blog. They have said that 2015 was a though year because every video game that came out had to be matched with a new, different graphics driver.
“Go back a year earlier and the same is true: Every major game launch of 2014 was accompanied by a WHQL-certified Game Ready driver.”
the company has added on their blog.
With this announcement Nvidia has taken an important advantage in the race against their famous rival, AMD. Amd has not yet said a thing about their drivers for the upcoming operating system by Microsoft.
