Everyone’s favorite holiday, Christmas is just around the corner. We’re all pretty excited to give and receive presents to our dear ones, enjoy the city lights and the Christmas tree in our living room. Google is trying to keep us in shape for the winter holidays and it just launched the Google Santa Tracker, an interactive site with plenty of cool games, courses and lots more.
The Google Santa Tracker also has a countdown that keeps track until Christmas Eve, December 24.
The guy behind the Google Santa Tracker, Sandy Russell announced:
“Starting today, the elves are back on the clock in the North Pole-and throughout the month of December, you can join the elves as they unlock a new project or game each day in preparation for Santa’s annual journey around the world.”
The Google Santa Tracker website leads you to Santa’s Village, where you can play plenty of cool games like skydiving, race with Santa’s reindeers. Also, on the website you can learn about different holiday traditions from all over the world and get free Javascript courses.
Along with the website, Google has launched a special Santa Tracker Android app and a special extension for Google Chrome browser. Watch out for the Christmas surprises Google has made for you all throughout December. The Google Santa Tracker app displays a countdown timer until Christmas eve and Santa’s travelling path around the world to deliver his presents to everyone. The app also comes with games and an Android Wear integration.
The special Google Santa Tracker game of today is the Rudolph racing game and a super fun game in which people are being transformed into elves at the airport.
Last year, Microsoft and North American Aerospace Defense created a Santa Tracker which was powered by a global radar system and fancy technology like Windows software and Bing Maps.
The Microsoft Christmas tracker features a countdown timer and games, movies and music. The Santa tracking program dates back to 1955 when there was a typo in the newspaper advertising to children that they can call a hotline and talk to Santa.
