STATES CHRONICLE – Judging from the recent press announcement that the company has made, Google’s new Chromecast awaits to be introduced to the public. This new model, together with many other ‘new treats’ should be presented at Google’s press conference on September 29, in San Francisco.
Google first created Chromecast to give users the possibility to connect devices and quickly share data. It’s been almost two years since the last generation of Google’s streamers was released on the market, but now, it seems the wait is over. Google has recently confirmed that they will present a new concept of Chromecast by the end of the month.
Judging from the data we have collected so far, the 2nd generation of Chromecast differs both in form and technical specs to the first model. Google has embedded 802.11ac support on their new device, making it much faster than the 802.11b/g/n band.
In addition, Google relies on Wi-Fi connectivity to allow users to connect Chromecast to other devices. While the first generation was mainly intended for video streaming activities, the new model could be much more suitable for audio streaming, too.
Tech analysts have no other explanation for the audio streaming compatibility that Google added to their new device. Based on their inferences, the new Chromecast will be connected to larger audio speakers to produce high-quality music. This new use of the streamer has been indirectly confirmed by the Spotify app that Google has added on their new model.
Probably the best feature of Google’s Chromecast remains the affordable price. The previous model had the best quality price report with fees being set at $35.
Even though Google has made no official announcement in relation to the price ranges of the new model, rumor has it they will remain just as affordable as the previous generations. The new streaming device will be sold first in 10 countries and then, expanded to other regions, as well.
There will be other announcements made at Google’s presentation in San Francisco, the most important ones being related to the new Nexus model. Based on the previous reports, the Nexus phone developed by Huawei and LG will work with Android’s new OS Marshmallow. More details will be revealed on September 29.
