STATES CHRONICLE – The TV streaming industry might have been a good project as it restored power back to the public. However, this domain was on the verge of committing a mistake. It risked splitting up in pieces. This way, customers would have to purchase multiple services to own a defragmented collection of TV shows and films. However, Hollywood intervened and put its shoulder to the wheel. The result is a one-stop platform that hosts all products people bought from different services. The app is called Movies Anywhere.
Four Hollywood Studios Have Already Joined Disney to Contribute with Productions to the Collection of 7,300 Titles
The new service will keep most of the original features of Disney Movies Anywhere that the Walt Disney Company opened in 2014. At the foundation of this service stands a unique digital rights system architecture named “Keychest.”
However, the new application comes with one huge difference. The selection will include Hollywood studios as well. Therefore, clients will get to pick almost anything from Sony Pictures, Universal, Twentieth Century Fox, Disney, and Warner Bros. These partners round up the collection to at least 7,300 titles.
The general manager of the new project, Karin Gilford, stated that there are other big Hollywood parties interested in this collaboration. Therefore, Lionsgate and Paramount Pictures may join in anytime now.
Movies Anywhere Works with Any Major Provider and on Any Popular Device
Another attractive side of this new service is its extensive list of supported providers. Therefore, customers will be able to link big companies to this platform such as Google Play, Amazon Video, Vudu, and iTunes.
On top of that, people can play their movies literally anywhere. They can use devices with Chromecast, Roku, Amazon Fire, Android, iOS, and Apple TV.
Therefore, Movies Anywhere appears to be the only comprehensive platform that supports the main sources of content available on the market. The official website is already up and running, yet it is region limited. Subscribers can already view some of the best titles of our days such as Spider-Man: Homecoming, Wonder Woman, Beauty and the Beast, War for the Planet of the Apes, and The Fate of the Furious.
