Artificial intelligence is by now one of the most debated subject in the field of technology and not only. Philosophy, sociology and psychology are also interested in the matter of artificial intelligence, of what would be its effects if we developed it at extreme levels and what impact would it have on our society. Some, including famous names in the academic communities, like the Cambridge cosmologist Stephen Hawking, have even made the case that artificial intelligence might lead to the extermination of the human race. But it is still a long way to go until we eventually get there, so the big players in the world of tech are enthusiastic about making the best out of the AI tech that they can provide at the moment, rushing to enforce their domination on the market by offering the most sci fi like services. Cortana is, without any doubts, one of the most famous successes in the field, and Microsoft is, for certain, one of the most relevant and powerful tech giants out there. So it might not surprise you that to hear that Microsoft announces Cortana for iOS and Android.
Moreover, the tech experts and tech enthusiasts might not feel surprised by the news either, or especially them. Many voice claim that this was a predictable move by the American tech giant Microsoft, as they follow their strategy of providing online services of their own on all the platforms that they have a link with, including personal computers, smartphones and hybrid laptop-tablets.
Still, the people in connection to this situation are not yet certain if this action will turn out to be a success. At this moment, their is no assurance that Cortana will be well received by the iOS and Android run mobile gadgets users, as there are other tech products they can opt for.
By now though, the release of the Cortana digital assistant for the mobile devices running on iOS or Android might look like a new perspective for Microsoft, as they are struggling to keep the same pace as their rivals, the Silicon Valley giants, Apple and Google.
Cortana would be the link of Microsoft to these users, as the digital assistant by Microsoft would allow synchronization between the iOS or Android mobile gadgets and the PCs running on Windows, which are far more popular and still the biggest star at Microsoft.
