obamastateofunionOn Wednesday, the President of the United States will have his annual speech at the State of the Union meeting. Obama’s next focus is on the middle class. The discussions which are debated there are usually kept a secret, but this year the President has decided operate with a different strategy.

Tomorrow Obama will present his ideas regarding US economy and the future growth of the middle class. The president admits that the middle class is the engine that puts in movement the entire America. Hence, he wants to diminish the enormous gap between social classes.

Taking into consideration the existing progress, the President aims to increase hourly payment, the minimum wage as well as raising some of the lowest paychecks in America. Moreover, he wants to cut down community college tuitions. This daring plan will bring no cost whatsoever to any students who want to attend community college. It is clearly seen how Obama tries to help American families improve their lives.

Obama targets the gas industry as well. His focus is to cut down methane from all existing oils in the gas industry. Also, federal housing benefits are to be expanded if approved at the State of Union meeting. Other ideas concern cybersecurity which is most likely to be refused by Republicans. It known that the conservative aspect of the Republican Party does not usually approve any costs regarding any White House proposals.

On the other hand, there is still a common ground which can be reached with the Republicans.  Obama feels confident that he can negotiate the corporate tax structure. It seems that he has it all planned out. It remains to be seen how the State of Union will react to so many proposals.

The CQ Roll Call editor-in-chief affirms that Barack Obama has been discussing about elevating the middle class in many meetings. This proposal gives hope to Americans that their quality of life will finally improve.

The editor-in-chief, Christina Bellatoni wrote that the Republicans should make a lot of compromises if accepting Obama’s plans. Another idea would be investing those tax savings in the infrastructure.

She also expects the President to act with patience and calm at the meeting when facing the Republicans. He protected the democrats last year so there will be a possible conflict here. However, this year the president is allowed to act according to his wishes. This will be the only year when he will be allowed to act according to his own will.
